Nearly two decades after first experiencing Silent Hill 2, writer and comedian Mike Drucker returns to its dark depths to explore how this bold video game delivers an experience that is tense, nightmarish, and anything but fun. Silent Hill 2 doubles down on what made the first game so compelling: The feeling of being lost in a foggy, upside-down town as unsettling as it is familiar. Welcome to Silent Hill, where the monster is you. And while our "hero" explores dark corridors and battles countless disturbing enemies, his journey offers more psychological horror than survival horror. As tears weld up in his eyes Andy hears the approach of someone in loafers (my guess is Alessa) but he is unable to turn to see who it is because strangely his body in unable to move.A troubled man travels to a mysterious town from his past after receiving a letter from his wife. The first ending involves Andy staring out into a large chasim fearing that if Cheryl had fallen down there he would be unable to help her. The Spring has two open-ended endings since it’s there were still three other scenarios: Summer, Fall and Winter that would continue Andy’s journey in Silent Hill. After Harry’s crash and Cheryl’s disappearance Andy wanders into the foggy town to find her. When Andy finally decides to give speaking to Cheryl she and her father are preparing to leave for their trip and at some point sneaks himself into the back of Harry’s jeep. Andy is the Mason’s neighbor and harbors a crush on and even though they attend the same school and live near one other Andy hasn’t mustered the courage to speak with her. Unlike Harry and Cybil’s scenario’s the Spring is pretty is pretty short and sweet with only two possible endings.
